Each year is different:  Four or five separate weeks in Sheffield, MA; plus remote locations like Salzburg, Canterbury, & Vancouver.  Workshops, rehearsals, and coaching for a week under the guidance of an eminent choral conductor, then a performance with full symphony orchestra.  Discounts for tenors and singers under 40.  Apply early (January/February) as most weeks fill early, but check anytime since openings do occur.  Website Button

Adult Choral Camp

Looking for a great summer vacation idea?  Not too far away in the heart of Nova Scotia's beautiful Annapolis Valley.  Adult Choir Camp is held at the United Church Camp Meeting Association grounds in Berwick, Nova Scotia.  This rustic setting, under magnificent hemlocks, features all the advantages and comforts of cottage life plus the opportunity to make music with choristers from across the province and beyond.  Each day is a combination of rehearsals and music classes including vocal production, sectional rehearsals, score reading and preparation.  Website Button

Logo Sarteano Chamber Choral Conducting Workshop

This intensive conducting workshop is geared for music educators and choral conductors with strong vocal ability who are interested in rehearsing and performing chamber choral music.  You will be part of a twenty-two to twenty-four member ensemble that will prepare and perform a cappella choral music from the sixteenth to the twentieth century.

We heartily welcome qualified singers who are interested in attending in a non-conducting capacity; who enjoy singing in a chamber group environment and/or who are very specifically looking to learn rehearsal and conducting techniques. The Banff Choral Workshop is an enhanced professional choral experience intended for impassioned amateur choral singers, students, and educators to rehearse and perform with one of North America’s eminent choral ensembles, the Vancouver Chamber Choir, in an intensive investigation of a master work from the choral literature.  The Workshop will be under the guidance of master conductor, Jon Washburn, who will lead an enlightened and enlivening program of rehearsal and study.  The 6 day workshop will take place in the studios at The Banff Centre, located in Banff National Park, and will culminate in a performance as part of the Banff Summer Arts Festival.  Website Button

Village Harmony is an umbrella for a range of choral music, world music and harmony singing activities under the direction of Larry Gordon and Patty Cuyler.  The main areas of expertise and interest are traditional polyphonic singing styles and community singing traditions.  Their offerings include several residencies for teens, college students, adults, and mixed ages.  Many are in the summer, but a few are during the school year.  Many sessions are held in central New England, but others travel to England, Georgia, Bulgaria, South Africa, and across the United States.  Website Button

Western Wind offers several different weekend and week-long workshops focused on close ensemble singing.  Singers work in small (6-12) groups with the guidance of a faculty member and also participate in master class sessions.  In a typical year there is one in NYC, several at Smith College in Northampton, MA, and two more in Vermont.  Website Button
